How to improve video playback quality |
Enlarge the playback area The primary cause for poor quality video playback is playing the movie back smaller than it was recorded. So, maximize the player window and set the zoom to 100%. In Microsoft Media Player, click View / Zoom / 100%. Full screen captures Full screen captures will always play poorly because each frame must be resized to fit the viewing area of the player. The solution is to shrink the recording area. Microsoft recommends keeping videos smaller than 320 x 240 pixels for maximum playability. |

Reasonable Expectations For professional work, use original audio or video files whenever possible - captures will always be imperfect copies because they're sampled non-synchronously. Also, video compression is lossy (like JPG) and it reduces color depth to 16 bits. |
On the web, you can often download original files by right-clicking the link and selecting Save TargetAs. |
