New CaptureWizPro version 3.B

My complacent little world was rocked last Thursday, thanks to alert user Jon K, who noticed the frame tool had the wrong number of tics on its scale, 7 divisions instead of the usual 8 - how embarrassing! But, here’s a free fix, version 3.B:

Version 3.B also contains a few other minor changes:
- Handles foreign spellings of Microsoft Video 1 codec.
- Increases maximum scroll width to 4000 px.
- Fixes screen that sometimes appears oversize in Vista.

If you experience any of these problems, we recommend the download. For everyone else, we recommend waiting for version 4.0. No release date has been set yet for 4.0

Version 3.B is a free update to owners of CaptureWizPro 3.0 and above. Just install it over the older version and no password will be needed. Others can upgrade for half-price. Version 3.B is compatible with Windows Vista back through Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

United Airlines capitulates to ticket buyer armed with CaptureWiz

Jan Z tells us her daughter saved 150 bucks on a spring-break flight itinerary by using CaptureWiz to take pictures of airline ticket prices before making her purchase. When daughter Anna’s purchase was rejected because prices had been “adjusted”, she contacted an agent who said he’d accept the original price if she could produce proof of the lower quote. Hooray for screenshots!
