Our last newsletter discussed how switches, settings and rogue programs cause microphones to quit working. But, repairs can be difficult if you don't know the machine's original audio settings. Don't let this happen to you! Fellow Denverite, Jeff O., suggests printing a screenshot of these settings at Start / Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices / Audio.

Ginny M., chair of her computer special interest group and 78 years young, suggests recording media player visualizations and using them for slideshow backgrounds, brilliant! I always wondered if there was a non-drug related use for those beautiful displays.
