Faster, simpler, unlimited screen recording.

Record for as long as you like, unlimited by duration or file size. The simplified user interface reduces the number of steps from 7 to 4, making it easier to use. A new high-performance recorder smoothly captures two to four times faster than prior versions, and it records directly to disk in single pass. It also maintains rock-solid audio synchronization and records every pixel in its exact color for the highest possible quality. This was made possible by using sophisticated multi-threading and a new CaptureWiz Media (CWM) format that's optimized for rapid recording and accurate playback.

Flexible playback with conversion to WMV, AVI or GIF.

A new player plays back large recordings full size and with full resolution. You can play recordings slow, fast or in reverse and you can go to any frame quickly, even in long videos, by moving a slider. Plus, you can convert recordings to WMV files or AVI format, using any available compressor, or create GIF animations that can be inserted into email or web pages.

Paste captured images into other programs with improved compatibility.

The copy function can now paste JPG or GIF files into other applications for improved compatibility, especially with email programs.

New mini viewer provides instant access to recent captures.

A thumbnail mini viewer on the end of the capture bar provides instant access to recently captured images.

Miscellaneous improvements.

You can now select outputs from the output toolbar by pressing a key. You can have sticky notes be not-on-top by default. You can play video recordings from the capture bar. And I exaggerated a little about recordings being "unlimited", actually they're limited to 584 million years, or the size of your hard disk, whichever comes first.
