Here's how to turn off hardware acceleration. Note, we can't find any way to record DVDs using Windows Media Player, not even home made ones.

1 Click Now Playing, then More Options.... |

2 Click the Performance tab.
3 Center the Video acceleration knob.
4 Click OK, then close and restart the player. |
