For those who don't start CaptureWiz at Windows startup, we suggest pinning CaptureWiz to the taskbar. Then you'll be able to start CaptureWiz anytime, with one click, even when the desktop is covered.
How to pin CaptureWiz to the taskbar
Just drag the CaptureWiz desktop icon to the taskbar.

Click the pinned CaptureWiz icon.
How to exit CaptureWiz after using it
Right-click the capture bar close button. Note, left-clicking the close button only closes the capture bar. You can change this behavior by clicking Settings / Options / Capture Bar, then set the Close button to Exit.
Older Operating Systems
Operating systems before Windows 7 used the "Quick Launch Toolbar" instead of taskbar pinning.
